IN100 Introduction to the Branch: Stage 1 of the Infantry Branch Education Program. Called by many, “Basic Warrior Training”, this course acts as an introduction to all phases of the Infantry Branch.

IN102 Infantry Terminology: In the second course of the Infantry Branch, students of the SFMCA will become familiar with common terminology used by members of the Infantry Branch while on duty.

IN104 MOS Familiarization: This course is designed to make the student aware of the MOS’s available to Infantry Branch Marines and to educate them on the courses they will need to take in order to be fully qualified for the various occupational specialties..

IN106 Light Weapons: In the first stage of the weapons series, this course familiarizes students of the SFMCA with a variety of Light Weapons used by Infantrymen in the SFMC.

IN108 Heavy Weapons: In the second stage of the weapons series, this course familiarizes students of the SFMCA with a variety of Heavy Weapons used by Infantrymen in the SFMC.

IN110 Ordnance: In the third stage of the weapons series, this course familiarizes students of the SFMCA with a variety of Ordinance used by Infantrymen in the SFMC.

IN112 Missile Weapons: In the final course of the weapons series, this course familiarizes students of the SFMCA with a variety of Missile Weapons used by Infantrymen in the SFMC.

IN114 Equipment I: In the first stage of the equipment series, this course familiarizes students of the SFMCA with a variety of equipment that would be used by Infantrymen in the SFMC.

IN116 Equipment II: In the final stage of the equipment series, this course familiarizes students of the SFMCA with some of the more advanced pieces of equipment that would be used by Infantrymen in the SFMC.

IN121 Earth History: This first course in the history section focuses on Earth History & Traditions. This series will cover both real and fictional traditions of the Infantry.

IN121 SFMC History: This final course in the history section focuses on SFMC History & Traditions. This series will cover both real and fictional traditions of the Infantry. It will also show how other races within the Federation have a played a role in giving the Infantry Branch its identity.

IN151 Introduction to Light Infantry: This course is the first part in the SFMCA student’s journey to become an infantryman. They will learn basic skills that will serve them in the infantry and how to operate common weapons and equipment used by the Light Infantry ground forces of the SFMC.

IN152 Introduction to Powered Infantry: This course deals with the weapons and equipment used by the Powered Infantry ground forces of the SFMC. This course is designed for those individuals who wish to specialize in the Powered Infantry division of the SFMC.

IN153 Introduction to Sniper Training: This course deals with the weapons and equipment used by the Infantry Sniper ground forces of the SFMC. This course is designed for those individuals who wish to specialize in the Infantry Sniper division of the SFMC.

IN154 Reconnaissance: This course will teach infantry operators the skill of reconnaissance.

IN161 Intermediate Studies: This course is the second part in a SFMCA student’s journey to become an infantryman. They will learn additional skills that will serve them in the infantry.

IN171 Tactics: This is the third part of the Infantry Branch Education Program. This course delves into the tactics of Infantry Operations.
Prerequisite for this course: PD100, IN100, IN106, IN151, (IN152, IN153, or IN154), IN161
IN201 Advanced Studies: This is the fourth part of the Infantry Branch Education Program. This course delves into Infantry Operations in more depth and detail.
Prerequisite for this course: PD100, IN100, IN106, IN151, (IN152, IN153, or IN154), IN161, IN171
IN301 Infantry Independent Study Course: This is the final step in the course work within the Infantry Branch. The goal of this course is for the student to complete an independent studies project. The independent studies project must either consist of a paper or another approved project. The student MUST submit a topic or project description to the Branch Director for prior approval. Once approved the student will then have 10 weeks to submit their independent studies project for grading. Extensions are granted on a case by case basis and are at the discretion of the Branch Director. After submittal, and if the student receives a grade of Honors or Distinction on a 301-level course, they will be issued an Academic Excellence Award.
