School of Support

This school encompasses all areas of Marine operations not taught in other schools. The Support School covers it all, from Chaplains, through Maintenance and Supply, and all the way to Demonstration Teams. The Support School is administered through the Office of the Commandant, STARFLEET Marine Corps Academy by the Support Branch Director. Courses are currently available through the SU-301level and all are available online for immediate credit.

Courses Available

SU100 Support Basic Course: Step one in the Support Branch Education Program. This course is a basic overview of all segments of the Support Branch and its activities in the field.

Prerequisite for this course: PD100


SU110 MOS Familiarization Course: This course is designed to make the student aware of the MOS’s available to Support Branch Marines and to educate them on the courses they will need to take in order to be fully qualified for the various occupational specialties.   All answers can be found in the SFMC Support Branch Manual.

SU201 Support Advanced Course: Step two in the Support Branch Education Program. This course is a more detail overview of all aspects of the Support Branch and its activities in the field.

SU230 Combat Service Support Command Course: This is a course designed for knowing all the ins and outs to Support Branch’s largest command. This course will prepare all CSSC OIC’s for future command and give them intimate knowledge of the divisions within.

SU240 Signal Corps Command Course: This course is designed at understanding the fundamentals of the communications arm of the Support Branch. Students of this course will gain advanced knowledge of the Signal Corps Command and prepare them for future command of this area.

SU250 Military Intelligence Course: Viably one of the most secretive portions of the Support Branch, the Military Intelligence Command course makes a student think in new and diverse ways and instead use multiple resources to solve problems, just as a Military Intelligence officer would.

SU260 Military Justice Command Course: This course is designed to familiarize potential OICs with the Military Justice Command of the SFMC Support Branch.

SU270 Public Affairs and Protocol Command Course: This course is designed to familiarize potential OIC’s with the Public Affairs and Protocol Command of the Support Branch.

SU280 Morale Welfare and Recreation Command Course: This course is designed to familiarize potential OIC’s with the Morale, Welfare & Recreation Command of the Support Branch.

SU290 Research and Development Command Course: This course is designed to familiarize potential OIC’s with the Research & Development Command of the Support Branch.

SU301 Support Independent Study Course: For the final step in the Support Branch studies the student must complete an independent studies project. The independent studies project must either consist of a paper or another approved project. The student MUST submit a topic or project description to the Branch Director for approval. Once approved the student will then have 10 weeks to submit their independent studies project for grading. After submittal, and if the student receives a grade of Honors or Distinction on a 301-level course, they will be issued an Academic Excellence Award.
